The College of Health Access and Belonging Committee (ABC) was established to support access and success of all students, staff, and faculty of the college. Through shared values of respect, accountability, and a commitment to equal opportunity, we strive to create greater cohesion across our college to deliver and promote the health and well-being of the communities we serve.
We acknowledge and honor the ancestral lands of the Dena'ina, Ahtna, Alutiiq/Sugpiaq, and Eyak/dAXunhyuu Peoples on which the 成人APP精选College of Health campus resides in Southcentral Alaska. We commit to working in partnership with Indigenous communities to promote health equity and cultural humility, and to recognize the unique knowledge and contributions of Indigenous Peoples to health and holistic healing.

There are many pathways a person can take in choosing their career. Have you ever thought about how many people have degrees they aren't using? Chris Nicolette thought he wanted to be a pharmacist but along the way realized how much he loved the science of studying drug interactions in the human body. Now, he's working to earn a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences at ISU, and looking forward to a promising future in the world of pharmacology and drug discovery.
The UAA/ISU Doctor of Pharmacy Program welcomed the next cohort of students as they begin their journey toward becoming the next generation of Alaska's pharmacists.
Bernie鈥檚 Pharmacy is an Alaskan-owned, independent pharmacy in Anchorage, founded in 1980 by life-long Alaskan, Bernie Klouda. Over the years, Bernie provided the opportunity for pharmacy students to complete their intern rotations at Bernie鈥檚 Pharmacy, mentoring many pharmacy students and new pharmacists. Bernie had a long and distinguished career, and he believed strongly that educating pharmacists was important to ensure the health of Alaskans.
